Janis is an L.A. native multi-hyphenate performer. She grew up doing musical theater from the age of 6, leading shows such as Annie, Bye Bye Birdie, and Beauty and the Beast. She finished her stage career on a high by originating the role of Dana in the world debut of Camp Rock: The Musical. At the age of 16, she won 1st place in every acting and modeling competition of the IMTA convention, which launched her theatrical career. She went on to guest star on shows like Criminal Minds and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. She then landed her first recurring role on the Freeform show Famous In Love, opposite Keith Powers. Currently, Janis has just graduated from the acting track at Hillman Grad, a prestigious mentorship created by Emmy award winner Lena Waithe. She was mentored under How To Get Away’s Behzad Dabu. Janis is now looking forward to bringing a raw and authentic approach to her future roles and advocating for inclusivity in this industry.
